1. What is MYP Mathematics?

Ans.:   MYP Mathematics is part of the IB Middle Years Programme for students aged 11–16. It emphasizes inquiry-based learning, critical thinking, and applying mathematics to real-world situations.

Ans.:   MYP Math focuses more on conceptual understanding, real-life application, and interdisciplinary learning, rather than just rote procedures.

Ans.:   There are three main levels:
  • Standard Mathematics – the core curriculum
  • Extended Mathematics – for students preparing for IB DP Mathematics AA (Analysis and Approaches) or who want a challenge
  • Mathematics Foundations – for students who need more support

Ans.:   Topics typically include:
